Yah, the price is stiff, i just so happen to get one (used already) at half the price. Sure, will post here more pics this weekend.666pounder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 10:14 pmAuch, thanks. That's bit off the budget. I'm looking for something cheaper.
I'm thinking about this:
https://ciclicorsa.com/shop/pmp-bike-sb ... -seatpost/ I can have it for around 100 euro. Real weight 185 g / 27,2mm / 400 mm. So not bad for the money and if I'am able to remove logos it could look very similar to yours!

Btw. do you have more photos of your Izalco? Would love to see them!

1500km later, all is fine, if sight is not perfect, can not be detected as repair and is far from perfect in finish sense. Looking for N+1 is really hard after MAX in XXL with Fulcrum Zero and 9000 Dura-ace.hmarin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 5:47 pmO outcome, lost pedals at return (Look Keo Max), thats one aspect of it.reedplayer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:52 pmHi,
all the best for your claim! let us know, how focus handled the case!
regards,
great outcome on other hand, I have repaired or patched it my self using a kit for reparing fishing rods.
1st I sanded off using mostly 150 paper around 1mm. The damage at the seatstay still visible.
Now I guess it was slammed with 10kg mallet with 0,8cm2 tip.
So I don't it think was anything else but manufacturing error.
Anyway 1st epoxy layer soon after mixing, too runny, so another after 1,5h now thicker, and then 1.5h later, single piece of cloth 2 rounds.
some fresh epoxy on top and
Tape around (translucent not sticky for epoxy) needle and I see epoxy coming out in small drops so enough of it.
24 hours later, remove tape and surprise
everything is flush, one layer of spray and as before.
There are many many variables in this process, but the position of the damage, tube itself being seatstay and many many others I feel safe 100%.
i did first couple of short rides (still without cover paint so that I can see if anything is going on) then 40km and the 85km with 800m up and down, bumpy pavement sometimes but no change at all, coin test (i don't have else) is "still" excellent.
So I will not buy from Derby anymore, but I like riding Izalco really a lot. 84cm seat height and 120mm stem on XXL.
I think it is the 1st bike I can sprint with without fear of hitting the handlebar with knees. (without having 150mm stem)
So happy with geometry so will buy an 61cm Felt FA for 2nd bike (and replace Canyon XXL Endurace frame with it) it is almost like Izalco XXL.
Cheers,
Hrvoje Marin
Nice! Will you share some photos with us? ...and are there any specifications of your builds already?
