Just bought 2 Izalco max frames..the 'old' one with rimbrakes in silver freestyle colors and the new aero one.
I just wanted something different and stylish. Will sell my Venge.

I hope one day Focus will be back in the pro peloton.
Nice! Will you share some photos with us? ...and are there any specifications of your builds already?
Normally frame arrives today or tomorrow.
Will be build with a Campagnolo Super Record 12v - mechanical, EE brakes, Rotor Aldhu+ crank with dm q rings, Look Keo blade To pedals, Selle Italia SLR Boost Kit Carbonio super flow, S works 110mm stem and S works shallow carbon handlebar.
Seatpost still in doubt, probably something like Darimo.
Wheels currently have Bora WTO 33 and 60 but maybe plan to go back to the Ultra 50.

After seaching a bit I did found an 'old' Izalco Max.
Very classic looking outdated, non-aero but light frame.
One may ask himself how Focus succeeded in making such a light/strong/stiff frame so many years back.

Some details:
Campagnolo Super Record mechanical 12v with 11-29 cassette
EE brakes with Jagwire cabling
Rotor Aldhu+ crank with direct-mount oval rings 50-34
S-works stem 110mm and S-works shallow carbon 42cc handlebar
Look Keo Blade Ti12 pedals
Selle Italia SLR boost flow kit carbonio
Campagnolo Bora WTO33 wheels
Michelin Power TT 25mm tires with Michelin latex tubes

forced it down to 5,7 kg, by using lighter stem/crankset and saddle.

a new hub (Yuniper) for the rearwheel (the zipp-hub is rather shabby and heavy) and extralite rings might save another 100 gram, then the end of the road has been reached.

What about a Darimo seatpost to save some extra grams?

a Darimo seatpost would be nice. yes, they obviously offer a version with the required 15mm setback, and it seems to save ca 50 gr over my ritchey post (148 gr) .

considering the weight, even its price is ok.

atm the replacement of the rear hub has priority, but i ll keep the darimo post in mind!

so what wheels are those ? can't see it from the photo !? what's their weight and what's the new total weight of the bike? how much saving with the new wheels? and of course I really like the look of your bike! classic lines at its best, imo only the 'old' super six with the straight fork is similar good in perfect road bike esthetics 8) + subtle blue touches on the different parts make it standout, I really like it !

Thank you very much.
Interesting, what you say about the cd super six evo, because, i must admit, the super six evo hm black inc gen 1 is one of the very few frames left, i really would appreciate to own. i fear, if i`d find one in my size, i`d struggle very hard not to buy it (in other words, i probably would buy it..).

the wheels are farsport tubulars, 25/23mm, with Extralite hubs. They weigh 915 gr. the bike weighs 5,53 kg atm (BBB bartape is a little bit heavy...;-) ).

I hope i dont overdo it, but here is another pic.( of bad quality, how always), where you at least can recognize the typical "riffle" of the farsports-rim better.

I've read so much information about them already, my head is spinning. How good is he? I'm looking for a bike for long-distance and my marathon, so I'm going through a bunch of options. I like the style of this bike.
