Finally collected my bike last week. although it's still missing the SRM power meter and THM crankset.
Please update the pictures when you have them installed, what a machine  Glad they're still making the TransLink version.
they do. but you can only order it thought your LBS. they refuse to sell it to you if there where to but it from them directly. go figure, lol.

When you've finally got it all built I'd love to know what the total weight ends up at! Definitely a great build!
currently it's at 6.94kg / 15.3lbs. i did i rouch calculation and is should weigh about 100 grams less at 6.84kg/15.09lbs

Does anyone know if the older Sram Force 22 (BB30) would fit in the Alpe d'Huez frame?

Hi guys!

Le Club Time has a new member :D
When my Look 785 Huez RS (see avatar) got severely damaged in a car accident which caused me to stop cycling for 10+ weeks due to multiple broken ribs, I had TIME to LOOK for a new bike. I always fancied TIME but couldn't get my hand on one here in Germany. So I scanned Troc-Velo to see if sth was showing up for sale in France - and I was lucky! A very nice bloke sold a French Edition AdH01 in my size (S) at a really good price. After I checked the bike via video, I only had to solve the small problem of picking up the bike (seller wouldn't ship). Eventually I found a cheap flight down to Nice (where the bike was located) and back the same evening.
Was a long day but totally worth it. Bike looks great and now as I have given her some new clothes, she's ready to be presented.

- Time Alpe d'Huez 01 French Edition
- Aktiv fork (I would have preferred the normal one but one can't have it all...)
- Rotor INPower DM crankset (new)
- Sram etap 22 (from Look bike)
- DA 9000 brakes (from Look bike)
- Black Inc Road stem 110mm (new - no TIME stems in 110mm available, and I learned they won't be produced anymore)
- Zipp SL70 Aero handlebar (from Look bike)
- Prologo Dimension NACK saddle (came with the bike, need to test, alternative is my tried-and-tested S-Works Toupe)
- Corima WS47 MCC clincher wheels (from Look bike)
- Aerothan tubes
- Pirelli P Zero Race 25mm tires

Weight as measured on kitchen scale: exactly 7kg. Bit more than my calculation (6.75kg) but maybe the frame is a little heavier than @kgt's.
Fork needs to be cut still but I will only do that once I have confirmed the setup works (exactly the same as on my Look but one never knows...).

First ride tonight - really looking forward to it 8)

And here she is, my p'tite Francaise...

Glad you're back on the bike, broken ribs are not fun to deal with. Bike is looking fantastic...will be interesting to see how the ride is compared to your Look.

Hi @velov,

As you asked - quick initial ride report...

Did some 75 hilly kms with my club yesterday and another flat, hot 41 kms today.
Overall this is a stiff bike. Pretty firm (but not harsh) ride. It feels slower than it is (especially when you come from the ultra nimble 785 RS) due to the heavy fork in combination with the larger trail. The 785 is really lively with its 280g fork. The AdH is more sure-footed especially downhill.
Did some uphill PRs by accident and got a downhill KOM where I increased avg speed from 55 to 64.5 km/h. So the bike is fast, no question 😁.
The fork is a lot more rigid than the lightweight one of the Look. Braking is substantially more solid (the Look fork as more fore/aft flex, one may experience some brake shudder) and the Aktiv damper works best on patchy roads. Feels as if you have 0.5bar less pressure in the front tire.
But the Aktiv fork is IMHO too much for the light frame. Imagine a MX5 where you put an old cast iron BMW straight six over the front axle. Steering becomes a bit slower but the car is surely planted in quick downhill sweepers (hence my KOM, I felt totally at peace). The Look in comparison is that MX5: "oh there is a turn, let me take it!".
So if I had a free wish I would change the fork for a normal one. Then it would be the perfect bike for me - light, stiff, predictable and incredibly good looking 🤩. Won't mention the build quality, @kgt has said it all👍

Hope this helps
Niko
