Have you ever considered to switch back to non-aktiv or do you totally prefer aktiv?

Almost a half year winter break from road cycling so I don't remember exactly how much heavier aktiv fork felt on corners vs my other bike with 300 g fork but need to do some heavy cornering test rides with same wheels. However, good points.

The question could be - can you live with your bike knowing you might be missing out on the “full Time ownership experience” Image
This is the hardest part, can't get everything I would like to.

True - I do have a brand new Activ fork, never been cut, which came off a frame I donated to be cut up by Leucher Teknic (frame had a factory defect) If your interested DM me

Thanks, really enjoying it. I had it away for 3+ months during the winter. I really wanted to ride it, but too much road salt out there. Winter and gravel bikes got all the workout.

Alpe Dhuez owners, how do you let water drain after a wash? There is a cap with short screw.below.bottom bracket. It holds inner plate that routes shifting cables. The cap is tightened at all times to keep cable tension and there is no drain hole.

Has anyone drilled a hole on the cap for drainage?
Do you grease or anti seize the screw to prevent problems in future?

So I got tired of loosening cap under BB to drain water. I drilled a small hole on the cap itself. Hopefully that works. I definitely don't like the design.

Also, I hope someone can help me determine if the correct ferrules are used in my build.

Hello Le Club Time members,

Long time Time owner - VXS, RXR Ulteam and now about to be the proud owner of a Scylon Edition Française. Have very much enjoyed reading all 60 pages of posts and learning a great deal in the process. I shall post some pictures of my bikes in their different guises (wheelsets etc.) and also of the new build Scylon.

VXS in its final iteration with 105 and Fosmics (Novatech 65mm tubs). Pictured with Edco Albis wheelset and Vottoria Corsa tires. Started life with Dura Ace and Fulcrum wheels and original seat post back in 2006 when I bought the moduel new.

Pictures of the RXR Ulteam:
UlTegra 8000
Different wheelsets:
DT Swiss 1400 Dicut
Mavic Cosmics 40mm
Fosmics (Novatech)
Lightweights (current wheelset)
His and hers matching RXRs (different stem on the 54cm as the bike was not sold with it)
Easton EX70 areobars finish off the cockpit nicely

Frame came with the drilled seatpost bolt... but being the other side of 100kgs I opted to buy the newer style cap (from Australia as the only place I could get one) as I had read abotu the seat tube cracking in some cases.

Pictures of the new Scylon to follow

I think for cable entry at downtube / chainstay, it is recommneded to use the cap with long tongue like this (as outlined in SHIMANO delaer's manual), which would help reduce the bend:

Thank you. Shimano confirmed wrong ferule used. I am in process to get the right parts.

What's the red band at the top of the seat post in pic 2?

The red band was, I think, a marker for where the seatpost should be inserted up to before being tightened. It was a very think sort of tape and didn't come from time. The bike was shod with Campy Bora Ultra (red and whie decals) so I think there was a bit of matching going on wherever possible.
