Honjo guards have to be fitted.

Have loved looking at all these beauts.

Just got hold of a simple Litespeed Firenze frame off eBay, shipped over from NY.

And am very happy with the removal of decals and build overall.

Rides really nicely; springy and responsive and fits me just as I hoped. So cool that you can reincarnate a 15 yr old frame and it look and feel better than a brand new bike. Thomson, etap, ultegra, with enve fork - all components I really like, with 4iiii PM for good measure. All in around 7.3kg.

My plan is to put some simple white Litespeed decals on the downtube (eBay). I’ve got a sweet second-hand ti bottle cage en route and silver Thomson clamp and steerer cap to round it off. Maybe cut the steerer a couple of mm to get a 5mm ti spacer instead of the black 10mm currently on there.

Then get some training miles in Image

My first ever titanium build back in 2013! Look KG282 with Campa Record and carbon clinchers. I really miss it!

Nice! I just ordered the Tempest Titanium with the SRAM Rival 1x groupset. How do you like your Planet X Ti bike?

Lovely frame, but why bother with a negative stem when you have that many spacers underneath it? Would it not have made more sense to cut the steerer and run a 0 degree stem instead?

Yep also lose the lay back seatpost and lengthen the stem, again a strange decision, the lay back Thomson seatpost is pants and should be avoided at all costs unless all options are exhausted.

What's wrong with Thomson? I always though their posts were well regarded as the benchmark aluminium option? (maybe not for WW purposes though... i've got one on my 26" Rock Lobster commuter/MTB/everything bike and haven't had any problems with it.)

Sorry I meant in terms of looks for their lay back posts, not performance.

This is my Helix Pro.
