I've got a 2015 DSW Allez Comp and I'm a huge fan of the value represented by these frames... the tech and bang for the buck is pretty impressive. Now that the Allez Sprint and Sprint 2x is coming out, the technology is being pushed even further. There are threads for Caad10's, Supersix's, Tarmacs, etc... but I can't seem to find anything for the good old Allez.

So let's see them...

Here's mine.

Love the look of these bikes. Picking up on of these today.

Did you have a run a different BB for the shimano cranks? The bike I'm getting I think comes with a praxis crankset.

I have two Specialized bikes, both with OSBB bottom brackets. I'm running Shimano cranks in both bikes with Praxis bottom bracket conversions for the BB. There are a quite a few options, but IMO, Praxis is the best one. I don't believe the Praxis crank uses a conversion though. I beehive the praxis crank is designed to run natively with OSBB.

I don't know about that... maybe if you're comparing a similarly spec'd Tarmac, you're right, but in terms of price point, there's no comparison.

An Allez DSW expert with 6800 costs $2000 US, at the same price point you're getting a base-level Tarmac Sport wit 105 on it... and the Allez probably weighs less.

Agreed. I have owned many Tarmacs and still have one at all times, always an S Works, and while the SW Allez isn't quite to the level of an SW Tarmac the difference is by no means large. I think they are fantastic bikes and even better value.

Thanks!

Just picked up my Allez Sprint DSW today...Seriously nice looking bike.

Do you remember which Praxis sku# you purchased? I'm going through there website and it looks like there are 2 potential BB: OSBB aluminum inner shell, OSBB carbon inner shell. http://www.praxiscycles.com/wp-content/ ... -GUIDE.pdf

I'm guessing its the aluminum one but just wanted to make sure!!
