Are they talking about Crank / chainline compatibility ?
Yes. I know my bike in particular (2018 Scalpel SE) is AI offset 6mm.

Both Ai3 and Ai6 are designed to use a 55mm chainline.
Ai6 uses a non-boost hub width usually designed for a 49mm chainline. Hence, 6mm asymetrical dish to be centred in frame with Ai 55mm chainline.
Ai3 a boost hub width usually designed fro a 52mm chalinine. Hence, 3mm asymetrical dish to be centred in frame with Ai 55mm chainline.

Ai6 is for first gen F-Si (QR dropout), Ai3 is for second gen F-Si (Speedrelease dropout)

Thanks for this info grover. Any idea where the owner manuals are for the second gen F-Si? The Cannondale website (https://www.cannondale.com/en-au/owners ... s/mountain) only seems to be showing the first gen, with Ai6.

I'm looking for the info for Ai3 to send to a wheel builder.

Oh and btw I’ve just ordered a pair of Thunder Burt Evos for the Fsi to make it a tad more acceptable on here 😬

My machine.Waiting a few mods.

Is it possible to fit 12speed with a microspline or xD driver? Does it have enough clearance between the chainstay and the 10t cog with the 135x10QR hub?

Hi, does anyone know whether road bike calipers will fit on a 2016 fsi carbon frame? Also I've found info that the back brakes are post mount but no details on the front....Should I be buying post mount calipers for the front as well? I've spent about 6 hours googling now without any luck.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

2016 F-Si is post mount rear brake. You can use a road caliper as long as it is post mount and has a leverage ratio compatible with the brake lever you are going to use. Example, a SRAM Level lever is compatible with a SRAM Red etap caliper (but not red22).

Front brake depends on your fork. But anything from the current era will be post mount.

Great bike. The best hardtail I've ever ridden. Such a unique look as well. Wish I'd never sold mine.
