Yup they're crazy wide and I love the look and feel of them! I'm a mountain biker, so I refuse to chop the bars down haha.

Because the bike has front and rear brakes and I can wear whatever sneakers I like when riding it.

Seems fair! Thought the bike would look better with speed play zero pedals instead.

It would look better without brakes!

But set up as is, it's a fun bike to introduce others into fixed gear (as it's easy for them to try fixed for the first time on it) and it's also just fun to grab and head out for a coffee with without worrying about having to put on any specific cyciing gear.

I live in the city and have bike paths and cool cafes all throughout my suburb, so it's very much more that kinda bike for me.

Watched your blog now and thought that you might own any other fixed gear bikes, but didn't find any. Is there any other examples of your fixed gear set ups? I'd like to know. Dosnoventa is sick btw!

Lol, fair enough! I asked because the other week I put together a cheap urban bike for my oldest son, I got a Cannondale flat bar for it but cut that down from 70cm to 58cm. For squeezing past London buses. (Excuse the fact that this has 1x10 gears.)
