In my wheel design spreadsheet 44 thin aero spokes come out as 198g, so I'd go with the lower figure.

Edit: On their english site the picture of the CX Super was shown and not the CX Ray...
So it's 210g plus 15g - 225g is correct for 280mm CX-Ray straight pull spokes.
For 44 CX Super 280mm and nipples 190g:

I weigh 210lb/95.25kg and wanting to build a set of aluminum every day wheels and trying to keep it under $1,000. I live in a VERY flat area next to the beach .
Rims: Easton R 90 SL
Spokes: DT Swiss Competition (CX-Sprints?)
Hubs: DT Swiss 350
Nipples: brass
Skewers: KCNC Titanium Skewers
any suggestions to make this better? is 24/28 spokes enough or should I go 28/32?

Under 1000? You can build 4 sets for that price!
Kinlin XR31, 2.0/1.8 buttes spokes, 24/28 should be enough if built well.

Timmy 269 they are not 240 hubs, they have 240 internals. The shell is different and DT Swiss spoke length calculator will not calculate the spoke lengtgs correctly for a rim of different erd.
In 290mm length a CX ray and alloy nipple is 5g eachm
Wolfesquire swap the DT hubs miche Primato, cheaper than DT hubs with no downsides.
You could use the kinlin XR26T or the 31t.
I do a set of the kinlin rims with Sapim aero spokes and the miche hubs and they cost around 500usd which just goes to show if you outside brand names you know you can build a gem.
Use the Easton rims though if you can get them cheap enough. They are nice but pricey in the UK.

So I have to measure the hubs myself and search for another calculator if I want to reuse the hubs?

Nope it's a straight pull hub. Spoke length calculator don't handle straight pull hubs. The DT Swiss calculator is setup for the aftermarket hubs only. You cannot assume that the ones in there wheels are the same. Some DT wheels use 1x lacing for start.
The way I do spoke length for straight pull builds is guess. I work out through experience what lengths are required. When I have it right I then use spocalc to work out the fractional crissing. Only then can I determine the correct spoke length for a different rim without thetefious process if guessing. Even then some fine tuning if spoke lengths us sometimes needed

If the old wheelset is still built up. Remove spokes and measure there length. Then use spoke cLC to determine the fraction crossing using the red measured using nipples from the wheel. Then forward calculate using the new rim red measured using the nipples you are going to use in the new set. Your new nipples are probably different to the thing DT use in there wheels.
