Will finally see if 80mms is too much
The wheels look fantastic. I'd like a set of toroidal 88s too. Maybe I'll go 16f/21r on them since they are massive. Testing first though.
I think 88mm for me it might be too much. Hey I dont know, havent even riden this 80s. Will give it a go tomorrow.

Nice wheels.

The right shift lever looks a bit crooked, and the cable housing for the rear derailleur looks a smidge too short. You might experience difficulties shifting to the smallest cog when the cable gets older or ride in cold weather which stiffens up the housing.

I'd leave the aerobar tops bartapeless. :D

How's your chain tension in small/small? Looks like the rd could bottom out.

Havent had any problems shifting. I am replacing the cables soons. Its been 2 years since my last change.

The lever might look funky because I was adjusting rear derailleur for new wheel and I also have the break release botton pressed.

I've got an 11-32 cassette and its the limit for my chorus setup. I had the chain a bit looser but when I was in less tens cogs the chain would jump up and down a hit the frame.

I do not like to ride without tape. Its just way more confortable.

I'm thiking of getting a thinner lighter stem...

the right hand brake lever is in the open position, its not crooked. The rear casing is a bit too short.

Hi all
I have a set of hope mono rs hubs 28/32h on kinlin x300 rims, I’m looking to change rims. I’m 185cm tall and 87kg. Is there any reason not to use 45mm Carbon rims from light bicycle or farsports? Or because they are 28/32h is it best to go with a alloy rim?
Many thanks
Wayne

The red is 585mm if you want to keep the spokes. I would not bother building aero rims with a high spoke count.

Ok I will stick to alloy then, which rim would you use between the mavic open pro ust and the kinlin Xr31t? Can’t find a rim with the same erd as kinlin x300 ( halo mercury).

I don't think there any alternatives with a 585mm erd. Or is it 582mm. I really can't remember now.

Measure the erd the xr31t with washers might be close enough.

Because the brake pads of my dt swiss rc55 spline are almost worn out, I was looking for other rims. The bike shop made contact with DT swiss and they can deliver a set of the same rims for a price of 370euro. So I can swap the hubs and spokes in to the new ones. What should you guys do, take that ones or buy next year newer models.

The brake pads are worn so you're changing the rim?

While you'll need to be careful you can extract that bearing by using an appropriately sized concrete anchor bolt. It expands inside the bearing and then you just knock it out from the opposite side.

You can find them for almost nothing at the hardware store. Make sure you get one that is just a little bit smaller than the inner diameter. Be it 15 or 17mm. 14 or 16mm anchor bolt should do the trick.

Heat is your friend if it's stubborn to come out.
