If so, you could weigh those?

Very serious Tinea Pedis. Stickers tend to be the first things to go if easily removeable... Free grams savings right there... 8)

Picked up my new Soul S4.0 wheels today, will let you know how they ride.

If only the very variable weather here in Oslo today could settle.

Thanks Tinea Pedis.

Albeit short, the set felt great on the first ride.

All of a sudden I can get up and sprint without hearing odd noises from the rear wheel... Why did I wait so long to replace the Shimano RH-550 stock wheelset??

this must be your upgrade of they year
looks like they are made for the bike

those 550 wheels have very crummy bearings
wel lets say they dont deserve the title 105 ish wheels as they have the bearings of the lower wheels

Tinea: What I meant to say was that albeit a short ride, what little I experienced was great :-)

tochnics: I think you are very right on that one. At first I thought the sound during sprints was from the brakes rubbing, but it was of a different nature for that to be the case. I'd guess it was some sort of "rubbing"/grinding noise related to the bearings.

Also the RH-550 rear wheel would not spin freely for very long.. lots of vibrations and generally odd noises coming from the bearing.

And again, thanks for the compliments!

I know this is the 2.0 thread, but how stiff are these 4.0s? And compared to what wheels?

Hi Johnny,

Hold that thought, I might be about to order some. I'm trying to get some Hed Stinger 6's but the Aus distributer is proving to be hard to track down, which doesn't pose well if I were to have any troubles with the wheels in the future. If he doesn't get back to me over the next few business days I'm likely to pull the trigger on a set of the Soul 50mm tubs, with white decals.
