Sub 1300g "everyday" clinchers. Can it be done?

Tinea Pedis, I thought in your line of work people would just roll on "factory" hubs (Shimano, Campangnolo, ...). Shimano 105 hubs have been seen at Paris Roubaix¹. Granted, not much climbing there.
What rims are you considering, if I may ask?

Without a doubt, people in my line of work roll on those. When they're not paying for them...
Rims will all depend on hub really. Lighter hub and I might go some Archetype. Or Kinlin.
If we don't have a wheel sponsor this year, budget will be...tight.

Not keen on Dati hubs. The rest though looks like a good build.

Tinea, I have some Pacenti SL23's laced to BHS hubs. They've been awesome and I don't treat them well (constant washing, potholes, rough roads, and I'm fat). The hubs are easy to service too. They're a simple design. Good luck in Belgium!

Cheers!
What weight did they come in at? Alloy or brass nipples?

The training wheels I build are BHS hubs (SL211 rear and UL66 front) and KinLin XR270s. Laced 20/28 with Lasers except for Race on the rear DS. Alloy nipples except sometimes brass on the DS. They come in around 1420g.
The hubs are pretty durable and the bearings are good.

1578 grams for everything below:
- SL210 rear hub
- SL85W front hub
- Sapim race spokes (28/32)
- Sapim Poly-ax nipples (aluminum)
- Stans rim tape
- Pacenti SL23 (stickers removed)
Not super light by any means, but they are super stiff, wide, and roll great. I feel they are light for how strong and stiff they are. I'm sure 20/24 would come in at a nice weight. If I could do it again, I think I would have built them with lasers all around and race spokes on the rear drive side.

I have a set of Kinlin XR-200's 28F/28R on Novatec A291/F482 hubs with Sapim Laser/alloy nipples weight 1360g. If I were to rebuild one day I would do a 24F/28R with Novatec SL hubs and they would weight 1310g. These are relaible for me at 80kg.
A Kinlin XR-270 build 20F/24R with Novatec SL hub and Lasers/alloy nipples would weigh about 1440g. Reliable light weight wheels are possible but I would not ride the XR-200 wheels I have on cobbles!

Cheers guys! Appreciate the feedback.
And I'd be going brass nipples.

If you decide on a BHS build I'd consider an order and split shipping if that helps the budget.
PM if interested.

Leaning towards XR-270, 24/28.
Super Light BHS 79 front hub
SL210 rear
Brass nipples
No idea on spokes.
Thinking it should be stiff enough for racing, good weight and nice price.
