Hard to guess aero effect. Sure, huge knobs will be slower. But these are tiny. More like texture on the surface.

GP4000sII and GP5000 is fast aerodynamically because it's not completely smooth.
The slight pattern disrupt the wind and make it more aero.

So... are those dots on Turbo Cotton create the same effect? Or it is not. We don't know.
I can't find the article but I remember reading that the tread pattern on the 28c/HOTN was not measurably slower than the normal cotton, it's just the added material for more puncture resistance caused the tire to be heavier and therefore slower.

23-25mm aero result of the turbo cotton. No 28mm data though.

The Power TT is completely smooth except for maybe some microtexturing on the tread surface, so really it’s more about the shape of the inflated tire more than anything. The cotton tires tend to be more round while the vulcanized tires usually end up a little more bullet-tipped.

I always wondered about the old Panaracer Race A Evo with its pointy shape due to tread thickness, but that was for Crr / contact patch purposes rather than aero drag reduction.

Knobs or profile can be more aerodynamic than slicks, that's for certain (see AeroCoach, see SwissSide testing). However, I was referring too RR.
Just looking at the thread of the 28mm:

It looks slower than that of the 24 and 26 to me
Cervelo P5 Disc (2021) 9.1kg
Factor Ostro Gravel (2023) 8.0kg
S-Works SL8 (2023) 6.3kg

*weights are race ready, size 58/L.
Sold: Venge, S5 Disc, Roubaix Team, Open WI.DE, Émonda, Shiv TT, Crux, Aethos, SL7

The Turbo Cotton 28mm tyres are called Hell of the North implying that they're made with the cobbled classics in mind so it's no surprise that the tread pattern is different to the smaller Turbo Cottons.

Had 2 S-Works Turbo 2BR in 28c delivered today, and they are eerily different in weight. 292 and 275g. Since they are my winter tires I don't really care that much, but not sure what is going on.
The are easy to install, jump on the beed with a normal
Track pump, hold air well without any sealant, and are a good ride (from 35k of experience).
29.5mm back and front on a 25mm internal hookless.

Can I check your past experience with ride qualities vs this latest Turbo 2BR --> I,m looking at going from 5K STR 28mm to Turbo 2BR 26mmto keep the tyre less than 28mm as my external rim width is 28.5mm and the current 5K STR comes up to 28.9mm......trying to stick to aero gains

So far the turbo is smaller than the STR on these rims (about 06 to 0.8mm narrower).
It's pretty early, but I'd say the STR is more supple, but a little less grippy.
The Turbo 2BR is very likely a few watts slower than the STR. STR and RapidAir might be on one level.

Holy shit, these are tight. I have the S-works Turbo 2Br and at the moment can't get them to mount on my Roval Rapides. I guess it's too cold to mount them and will put them next to a heat source for a while.
