Interested in opinions about DUKE BACCARA C SLS2 ULTRA 36mm Rims and 2 main questions -
Cross wind stability and durability?
I'm trying to decide between rsl37, roval alpinist and custom build with these rims.
First 2 options should be better, but not sure if they are worth +1k Eu.

I haven't seen rsl 37 for 1699, at least in Europe...
They are/were for sale at that price in the Netherlands, shop I've got a pair of wheels on order from sold them for that price (out of stock now though).
I went through a list of Trek resellers and then just checked the websites. might be worthwile to do this in your country too, if one shop can sell them at that price it means the others just grab more margin.

i cant answer the first, but the latter, no problem what so ever after 10,000km. i have the SLS2 on the rear built with CX-ray and DT350. pretty much maintenance free. this is on my endurance bike (150km+ each ride, sometimes 500km over 2-3 days type of ride.), around 14kg with some luggage. the front wheel i have a reynolds AR 29 which i picked up cheaply off ebay. the combo works great. when the bike is not fully loaded, climbing on 15+%, the wheel feels very very light, definitely on par with something like my zipp 303fc (2021). i definitely think these are good alternatives to zipp 303fc for people that doesnt want to jump into tubeless+hookless setup.okx wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 3:29 pmInterested in opinions about DUKE BACCARA C SLS2 ULTRA 36mm Rims and 2 main questions -

Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.
n+1...14 last time i checked, but i lost count

I've been riding on those for a few seasons now: great wheels with zero maintenance. Of course, I am quite light so I'm probably not stressing them too much.
• A hi-zoot bike, pretty sweet
• An old bike, more fun than the new one actually
• Unicycle, no brand name visible
