Hello,
I am considering to get a set of the new Zipp 404 Firecrest hookless wheels. My preferred tires were with tubes Conti 5000 25mm but with the new Zipp wheels it seems I am not allowed to use the Conti 5000s TR in 25mm width.
Which tires do you use with your Zipp 404 hookless wheels? What about the widht of the tires on the Zipp wheels? Are 28mm not a bit to wide regardin areodynamics?
Thanks.

I use the 25s (454 NSWs but same dimensions as yours) and haven't had issues so far, but I am blessed with a light weight (60kg) which makes me more comfortable using this combo, I'm down at around 50psi.

are you using the Continental 5000s in 25c? What is the width of the Conti 25c tire with 23mm innerwidth of the Zipp rim?
Thanks!

I use the Schwalbe Pro One TLE 25mm and they are 27.2 - 27.4mm on my Zipp 404Firecrest. Easy to setup tubeless and they don't leak sealant. I've used 30ml of Orange Sealant each tire and they are still on pressure after 1 week. On my Zipp 303S I have some Veloflex Corsa TLR 28mm and they are 28.6mm also internal rim of 23mm. They had an initial setup with 35ml. of Orange Sealant - after a few days added another 25ml selant each tire.

I'd like to run the 25s as well with my 404 FC but am a little scared at my weight (85kg). I'd be right up against the max PSI rating.Jackofallgrades wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 1:22 pmI use the 25s (454 NSWs but same dimensions as yours) and haven't had issues so far, but I am blessed with a light weight (60kg) which makes me more comfortable using this combo, I'm down at around 50psi.

Try 25 front 28 back? I prefer 3-5 psi lower than SRAM recommendation, so you could try that too. Consider a digital pressure gauge for extra peace of mind.LanceLegstrong wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 1:17 amI'd like to run the 25s as well with my 404 FC but am a little scared at my weight (85kg). That's actually the combo that I've moved to, if nothing else for rim protection against potholes.

So I got my GP5000 mounted up on the 404 FC. 25 front measures 26.1, 28 rear measures 29.4 for me. Front rim is 27 external. I'm still a little nervous about running the 25 up front as it's not officially supported. SRAM's pressure guide would have me at 70psi. So not only close to the max psi, but on an unofficial tire. How many people are running the GP5000 25?
