I have a set of bontrager RXL aluminum wheels (DT swiss titanium color hubs)
I had them for a while on the shelf and they are fairly light for aluminum wheelset abt ~1500gm pair. I am planning to use it for my trip to belgium to ride the cobbles of Tour of flanders and paris roubaix.
Question:
1. There are symbols on the rim - what do they represent
2. Any possibility they are tubeless - trying to run 28 or 30 mm tires (prefer tubeless)
3. How durable are they - i heard scandium rims are soft .

Thanks in advance ?

I have a set of these wheels that have been used on my bike and that of my wife's. They have proved to be very durable. To date they have clocked up over 18,000 miles! I'll say my wife is just over 50kgs, so the brake tracks won't be worn as much by her as some :)

Yes you can run these tubeless. I would recommend the Bontrager inserts to ensure a good tubeless experience. I run tubes on this wheelset, but do run tubeless on other Bontrager wheelsets that I have. This link may help you with your decision: https://bikerumor.com/long-term-review- ... -r3-tires/
