Curious if anyone had the opportunity to ride them and had initial feedback. there isn't many out there, how has Shimano wheel faired in the past? At their weight, internal width, and a true 12sp hub is compelling at the pricing point.

Regarding the DA C50 at a price $2099 USD with a spec of: 21mm internal 28mm external, 50mm depth and 1487g... not very impressed IMHO

Im sure the quality is excellent, but for just over $1000USD. You can get sub 1450g and wider external width which I think (my opinion) is better value..

My biggest gripes with Aero wheels are concerning external width.. Based on what I read, the 105% rule is more important than the profile of the rim.. With rims under 28mm external you pretty much stuck with running a 25mm tire out front..

Again, my opinion only.. but I wont be paying $2000 for those specs as I prefer running 28mm tires on the road which are typically inflating to 30mm in rims with >20mm internal width

Guessing these are designed for pro teams, which mostly use 25mm tyres for racing.

Shimano wheels are not so popular in the non-pro market for a reason.....

Zipp apparently doesn't believe in the 105 rule. The new 303s is supposed to be optimized for 28mm tires. The 303s is 23mm internal and 27 external, but also hookless, which changes the tire shape.

Honestly, I have no idea what Zipp is thinking; other than their NSW wheels, whats the purppose of a deeper rim with a tire that overlaps.. I use my 303FS for gravel with a 38-42mm tire.. so no aero gains there lol..
