WTB nano, rear tire have tread 1.5-1.8mm. I started to notice loss of traction while seated sometimes.
also concerned about possible cuts because of the tread depth?

front measuring the space places around 2.5mm, I think similar to new.

Those tyres are fine but if you want new tyres, buy new tyres.

I guess it depends upon what surface you are riding on. For me, slicks work, but I ride the mountain bike in sketchy, loose terrain, not the gravel bike. If that were my mountain bike tire, I'd bin it.

For 80/20 pavement to gravel...tires are fine for many more miles. I usually wait until the center bead is even with the tire casing and then some. If you ride more gravel than pavement...I would change them before the center wears down even.
