Hello rim brake riders.
I would like to ask you guys at the forum, what is the best rim brake wheelsets available currently (might be a few, that i understand)?
Looking at something at 45-50mm rim depth. Not wims wider internally than 18-20mm.
Oh, i look them to be a "hooked" design, not hookless.
Mainly for 25mm tires, not larger.
Thanks!

I have no doubt that the Campagnolo wheels are awesome but I'd buy a pair of Farsports wheels again in a second at 1/3rd to 1/2 the cost.
WTOs are expensive, but the ultra smooth hubs and bearings are stand out features.
For tubs they are probably the nicest feeling wheelset available. If I could replace my Easton EC90s tubulars it would be with WTO 60mm tubulars.
But the outer width of these wheels is only 26.5mm and although that is perfect for 25mm tubular tyres that run true to size, it is a bit too narrow for 25mm clinchers. Many 25mm clinchers run at 26mm+, so that 105% aero rule doesn't work with WTOs and most clinchers.
A true best in class clincher aero wheelset needs to be 27.5mm+ wide.

Lightbicycle do make 28mm and 30mm wide rim brake wheels, though I think the 30mm option might be too extreme for many frame-calliper combinations (I have the 28mm wide ones and with Dura Ace brakes they are at the absolute limit when the brake pads are new).

Yes, there are several. Take a few minutes to read-up on high end gear (Campy, Lightweight, Corima, etc).

Have no problem with later shimano gear matched with the correct shim levers
Have 6800 and 7000.
They work well.
I am not a weight weenie so don't know how they compare weight wise.
Reasonable cost and work well, so that's me sorted.

Corima wheels are 26mm max externally. I ordered a wheelset (not Corima), but it's not mentioned here. I'll see how they are.
I'm about to order a new fork to, to clear larger diameter tires.

Does WTO rim come in tubular format? Never seen any, neither does Campag website mention them.
