You can google "carbon wheel aero wind tunnel test" and find lots of results.

What would be more interesting -- and applicable -- is what are the fastest wheels when accounting for frictional losses? You might find the "most aero," but if they come with crap bearings and high-drag seals, they won't be fast, even if they're aero. I can't say I've seen comprehensive testing that accounts for both aero and rotational friction.

Probably the most important consideration is making sure the external width of the wheels matches with the tyre width you want to use.

Follow the 105% rule, no point in buying 26mm wide wheels for 28mm tyres.

Rim brake, I guess?
Also, there is a wheel specific section of this forum.

This makes no sense. This is why one has to average out comments.

Every 60mm wheel from every top company has been through cfd analysis and some wind tunnel testing by now. As well, the copy cat companies are probably using the same shapes. As long as the tire is aero optimized, I'd bet that the actual differences between the same depth wheel is very very small.

This is the most realistic response. Get a modern-width wheel by a reputable brand, fit a tire to 105% rule, and you'll have found nearly all the aero gains. If you do that, the differenze between Zipp, Roval, Bonti, Hed, Enve, etc. will be very minor.

This is entirely too sensible a comment. It's not going to set off the appropriate firestorm. From the Zipp, Enve, Roval, MCFK, Farsports, and Light Bicycle wheels I have tried, I would not be able to tell the difference from an aero perspective between wheels of similar depth.

My optimizations are on:
Width / inner width as it pertains to comfort
Crosswinds as it's gusty where I live though I am heavy enough to counter it most of the time
Hubs for smoothness
Durability (for instance I have beaten my MCFK rims to a point where I would have expected them to fail without them showing any weakness)

All the brands I listed make a damn good wheel as far as I am concerned.
Lots of bikes: currently riding Enve Melee, Krypton Pro, S Works Crux, S Works Epic Evo, SL7.
In build: SW SL8

Just a personal choice (in case disc brake is fine) DTSwiss ARC 1100/1400 dB/ SwissSide Hadron2. The depth with 62mm is awesome, and I love how super stable they are in the wind.
Also, in many tests they have tested among the fastest wheels.

Zipp 454 NSW being hookless and far lighter at 53/58mm than just about any other wheelset is a pretty big selling point. I just finished a crit with my rear 28mm tire at 40psi due to a puncture that took about 10 seconds to fully seal. Hardly noticed.

But ZIPP wheels aren't aero, haven't you read what the dude said before? :noidea:
