4000km on my set of 25c (running tubeless) and still looking good.
I got almost 11000km out of GP5000TL last year but new version has thinner tread so I don’t expect it to last that long

I get the impression that everyone is able to get hte new STR version but i can't find any on EU online retailers or bike shops around me. Are they just not sending them to certain countries (portugal for instance)??

Just add more rim tape.
Then they are even harder to put on. I've not found a reliable way to use tubeless on CL50s, because if they unmount then there is no way my pocket pump is putting back on again.

5500km on my rear (25mm) and still going. What kind of life is everyone getting out of their GP5K S TR?
Got around 4000kms on mine since January and replaced them (front had a big puncture, rear was used up) with a new pair. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Bought them on R2.

Some German shops have limited sizes available, mostly 25 mm and 32 mm, sometimes also 30 mm.

Yes, I've found some of those sizes. It seems that most of the people (myself included) are searching for 28c. 28c does seem to be the new norm.

Wiggle has the black version available in all sizes. Full price though, unless you have a loyalty discount with them.

They overestimated demand for uk then.

The problem there is that I then have to pay heavy customs to import them to europe (I do in Portugal). Since Brexit I've made a couple of purchases from UK, even some saying that were totally customs free (paid in advance) just to be charged some more afterwards. No more purchases from UK. I've learned my lesson.

I ended up rotating out my rear at 6000km. I am on the lighter side however.

I can't find any of the 25's w/trans sidewall at any of the usual German sites (bike24, Bike-components.de, bike-discount.de).

Do you have another site where you saw availability?

Bike-discount and r2-bike have 25 mm, but only in all-black.

Is there a consensus, what's a better tire 5k TL or S TR, if I have hooked rims?

do you care about weight ? TL is heavy but provides better puncture protection in theory.

I think this is a nice way to put it. For a fast set of training tires, the TL definitely.
