If they make GP5000 tubeless which will be below 250g for 25mm and let's say 280g for 28mm I AM IN!

I had 25mm gp5kTL it was 300g and 310g

28mm was around 330g.

I had also 32mm, that was around 360g maybe.

Nobody wants a 23, but I would be in for that.

Is this a new iteration of the current GP5000TL?

Hopefully there will be a tubetype Version? This is easily the best tire, and I would love a few improvements, especially a watt less is always welcome.

Probably, also most likely will be compatible with hookless rims since they are missing out on this market.

They better be hookless compatible!

Good luck to everyone ordering newly released tires during the worsening rubber apocalypse.

I just had a sidewall tear on my last GP4000  I bought 4 pair at ~$25/ea shortly after the 5000 came out.

Since winter is coming, I think I may just rock some unused Rubinos I have on my bike that sits on the Kickr until Spring and hope that the supply issues resolve.

I'm seeing 215g for the 25mm, 235g for the 28mm.

Where are you seeing the specs? I assume this is non-TL? Any mentioning of a new TL version?

ps Nevermind. I just saw the thread title 'TR' which I assume Tubeless Ready. Damn that's light. The lack of weight raises the question, "is it too light to be durable". Where could they have cut the weight since I assume most of the weight increase on the TL vs. Non-TL is in the kevlar bead?

I have weighed four samples and the weights ranged between 370g to 379g.

From the Stevens website. I’m assuming TR means “tubeless ready,” aka the carcass is thinner and maybe slightly more porous than their old TL casing.

that would explain why the current grand prix 5000 is always on discount on the major online retailers. new version should be ertro compliant with TL hook/hookless rims.

At those weights, the new version sounds like a TT tire and I would bet the tread cap is way thinner.
