Just wondering what these are like. Current stock at the distributor have the Hadley hubs (not the forthcoming '44' hub) with bladed PBO spokes.

I don't want anything with a carbon braking surface, but had also been considering some Fulcrum wheels (maybe Racing Zero Competizione, although I think they've been discontinued), or possibly hand-builts. My bike currently has the cheapo Fulcrum Racing 7's, which have been surprisingly good, but I'm looking for something a bit lighter, faster, and smoother. I would't mind trying a deeper section wheel, but wouldn't want anything which would be a handful in sidewinds, plus I'd need an aluminium braking track which reduces the choice in aero wheels.

I'm not sure if I'd try tubeless or wider (the front fork only has 2 or 3mm clearance with Conti 4000 25's).

Are the Z Lites good, or are there better options around that price?

Aero trumps weight so if speed is a concern try some deeper rims. For alloy brake tracks see if you can score some bontrager aura5 wheels perhaps. HED wheels too.

Carbon brake tracks have come a long way. Even many chinese brake tracks stop quite well in rain now.
