I gave a lot of thought to getting some ultralight wide rims so I could enjoy wide tyres. Then I realised that I already have the perfect solution, my Meilensteins! They're 20mm wide, so I put 27c silk tubs on and the deep rims become just dead weight, but who cares, they only weigh 1140 grams! And unlike all the other wheels they never need truing, no nipples to check, they're super stiff, the rims don't crack and the brake tracks last forever. And when I'm bored of comfort I stick some 19mm Contis on and pretend I'm racing.
