Thinking about trying tubeless on my dtswiss rr440 rims. They are 16mm internal, 21mm external, currently using 25mm 5000 clinchers at 7 bars rear, measures 26.5
At my heavy weight this is about the sweetspot between speed and comfort. Any less and it feels too squirmy.
Looking at 5000TL, 25mm at say 6.5 bar or 28 at maybe 6? I imagine/hope the greater thickness compared to the nonTL will reduce the lateral instability at the lower pressure. Not sure if the 28 would have enough support with the narrow rim. I demoed a modern wide wheelset with 28mm Schwalbes at 5bar and it felt kinda crappy descending a hill, too squirmy.

I think a 28mm tire will be way too "squirmy". I tried a 25mm GP4000 (wider than the GP5000) on a narrow rim and handling was "squirmy" and imprecise.

I'd go with the 23mm GP5000 TLR. Even with the 23s you'll get a fair amt of wind detachment as the air goes from the tire to wheel. So you'll experience some aero penalty (depending how fast you go). And while I'm not sure the rim shape of your wheels, you'll also get cross wind instability as the delta between the outer rim width and the tire width increases.
As you mentioned, wider/tubeless tires will definitely increase comfort. Let us know how your experiment goes!
