Anyone tried or seen in the wild a set of the new rim-brake 404 Firecrests with the new hub and logos? Been looking around for photos and reviews of some to no avail.

Zipp dont appear to make rim-brake wheels anymore. You're probably thinking about the 2020 Firecrest. Basically a G1 NSW rim with the new Z1 Hubset - more or less the same as the 2019 wheels but with different hubs. The rims are very good.

They do new 303 in rim brake version but not 404, which seems weird
