Hi dear Mates,

Any recommendations?

I'm considering a new wheelset to accommodate my gp5000 in 28mm

What do you think about following two options :
Light bicycle wr40 X-Flow rim, may in flyweight option, I don't know whether there is actually much of an benefit on the flyweight

NXT49ARX and rear wheel NXT54ARX

Thanks

I choose 21mm internal with 28 external, others will say 25 internal with 30-32 external.
Rationale? Not much really, feeling /looks/ reading up on available info.

There,

as you request.

As for what I'd say:

Hi, I jump in this thread since I'm looking for a carbon wheelset (disc brake) optimized for 28mm tubeless tires (Pirelli P Zero Race TLR).

These are the models I found so far:

- New Zipp 303 Firecrest
- Mavic Cosmic SLR 45

Other suggestions?

Thanks
Nicola

Take a look at the Parcours Strade which are specifically designed for 28mm tyres.

I've just received mine and looking forward to getting some miles on them over the summer.

My experience with 21mm ID/28mm OD rims is that 28cc tires (Conti 5000, Goodyear F1) bulge outside the rim enough to affect the aero properties. So I ride 25c on the front, and 28c on the back, to combine aero where it matters, and comfort where there is the most weight. If I wanted to run 28 on the front, I would buy a rim with 23-25mm ID.

Yeap... What hunt did was to create an European version and present prices including all things and bits. From that oner can see the magnitude of the brexit impact (around 40-45% price increase).

Actually, the Ronde now are almost in 303 firecrest price territory
