My road frame is 12mm TA. The Mavic Crossmax SLR 29 rear hub supports 12mm so is no problem, but the front is 15mm with 9mm QR adapters.

Somebody used to make a 12mm adapter for Crossmax but it's out of stock. What do you think of the tube-type (sleeve) 15mm to 12mm adapters? For example https://www.amazon.com/Corki-Adapter-Fr ... B07NZ2V13T

I've used both the tube type and press in generic type with no issue once you account for the outer diamter of the 15mm end cap being larger.

The outer diameter of 15mm end caps is usually 21mm. While 12mm end caps have outer diamter of 19mm. So the 21mm doesn't fit nicely in the fork ends designed for 12mm axle. I took mine to a machine shop and asked them to reduce the outer diamter of my 15mm end caps to 19mm. You only have to do it for the first couple of mm of the end cap, enough to clear the fork locators.

That's interesting.

So if the 15mm TA endcaps fit ok in the "dropout" just use a sleeve adapter. If not you might need to modify the endcaps like grover mentioned.

Hm, I have a lathe so that would be no problem. Thanks.

The 12mm adapters from my Ksyrium Pro Allroad 2017 fitted on to my mavic xa carbon mtb wheels which I use on my cx bike, they may fit the Crossmax as well.
