I wonder if we will see a Special Edition Groupset to match the Copper Colour?

Oh wow. They seem pretty outdated already.

Weights:

Weight is good, not great (compared to new ZIPP, Bontrager, Roval etc)

I just don't believe it is the fastest. 19c internal means tires come in pretty narrow and Bora wheels are not known to perform overly well int wind tunnels.
I however like how the look. Just need and update on the groupset and I might want to pull the trigger on a "Italia" build.

It's already quite modern compare to Shimano wheels. Not cutting edge, but atleast out of the old tradition.
Really hope Shimano will also get into the wide game after Mavic and Campagnolo already abandon the strict ETRTO narrow wheels aliance.

I thought the same thing! Crazy. I never would have thought Campy would I bail on rim brakes. People who rol campy often use rim brakes and the standard wto is rim brake optional.

Disc brake rims are easier to produce, and hence lower cost and skills. With a higher selling price, I'd just push disc brake for easy profit if I were the industry. I think Campy makes sense.

Bora wheels are not known to perform overly well int wind tunnels.

Do you have a source for this?

I feel we might have all been duped into "wider is better" when actually it's just "wider is cheaper".

I think they didn't do it because likely they use the same tooling and moulds as old gen - cheaper. Changed would cost more money.

But I think they're going to have to get with the programme on this in the next couple of years, or they risk Mavic'ing their wheel collections.

Having said that, the weight is more competitive and they do look good - particularly the more understated branding.

Actually the wto 45 tested just 2-3w slower than the dt arc1100 and roval rapide clx. Pretty much a wash in the tour test. They are just heavier.

I’d want wider internal rim width purely so i can run with less pressure. 21mm internal is really good. it's hard to go back to anything narrower really.

And that was the 45mm WTO against the 62mm arc1100? So the wto 60 should be even better.

Not sure I buy that the only reason they kept the width the same was to use the same moulds - if so then why change the wto 33 width? Maybe so they didnt have to repeat all the wind tunnel R&D I suppose?

Anyway, non of this matters because I cant afford these wheels!
