Hi All,
I'm doing a 1x conversion on my old race bike (which I love too much to ditch), fitting AXS so need XDR hubs. I have an oldish set of WH7850s which I want to use, but obviously I need to replace the freehub... Can't find any info out there at all!
Anyone managed this? Any recommendations on a freehub I could buy?
XDR on Shimano Wheels

This may seem offtopic at first glance...
When shimano launched their new pressfit standard they intentionally picked 41mm od. 30mm axles (used by other manufacturers) use a 42mm od bearing. Shimano picked a size to prevent people from being able to use competitor components.
Campagnolo wheels realise they can't offer just campy freehubs as their groupsets are used by a minority.
Shimano wheels however could perhaps be under the impression that they're big enough to only support their own standard. This leads me to think you'll have a hard time finding other freehubs.
I wish I had a more straight yes/no answer for you. Reading your post reminded me of bb86.

Thanks, have been starting to come to that conclusion... abuse of dominant industry position ...
Hope I can find a solution, seems a shame to stick em on my winter bike!
