So, they couldn't show the RSL 75 on a bike, because they have no (TT/Tri) Bike, that is actuall compatible. Weird...

So these are the same external width as the RSL 37v (31mm)? I guess wide is here to stay, at least for a while. But the internal width on these new wheels is narrower (23 vs 25mm) than on the 37v.

I don't think that these should be closely compared to the RSL37v, but the RSL37. The v Version is the "light Gravel" iteration, if I understand correctly. A little heavier, but made for fatter tires.
RSL 37, 51, 62 and 75 are road only, and therefore narrower internally.

Domane and Émonda SL/SLR 6 eTap have also been updated for MY2022 models. No new wheels for them though, still Pro 3V/Pro 37 respectively.

I am a little surprised by the shape. It is a shape somewhere between a "U" and a "V" while the new trend is more towards "O" shaped. I found O shaped to be super stable and they test very fast also (DTSwiss ARC1100 dB, Roval Rapide CLX). Interested to see how these really handle.

Well, my point is that the numbers on these new wheels kind of makes the 37v seem like the pure “road” aero choice, and leaves the plain 37 looking too narrow.

Wider rim/ tire combinations are usually not the outright fastest combination, but make for a very fast AND stable set up. Stability isn't really an issue with the 37s, so this is likely their train of thought. The RSL37 paired with the new Pirelli PZero Race 26c clincher make for a very nice set up, tire and outer rim are nice and flush.
If you were to go 28c, I think that's still absolutely fine for the 37s, so I don't think they needed to go wider.
Ones stability comes into play, I am all for fat wheels. I LOVE the CLX Rapide and new DTSwiss ARC 1100/ SS Hadron2 Ultimate.

Looking at RSL51's shape,
Light-Bicycle AR56 shape come to mind. https://www.lightbicycle.com/Road-bicyc ... lable.html
It tested very well in Hambini's test.

The RSL 75 has different shape though. Since cord length is so long, it can afford to out swept a little bit under the bead hook before curving in after 1/3 of the way.

if you look at the drag numbers the 51 depth is the one to get . it is only 1 watt slower than 62. big news bontrager will finally selling tlr tape. the plastic rim strips add 120gm+ in dead weight.

"Bontrager says that Jasper Stuyven started on an Aeolus RSL 75 rear and Aeolus RSL 62 front wheel in his win at Milan-San Remo (only switching to an older XXX front tubular after a puncture due to supposedly limited supply of the newer wheels at the time). "

so Trek made history a mixed tubular/tubuless setup won a classic
