Sorry my bad, I should quote @C36.
To make it clear, is there any consensus about best tires for both 2020 and 2023 Hypers taking into account 105% rule and lowest possible rolling resistance?

I´ve received my Hyper 2023 R45 in the meanwhile.
FYI: A Conti GP 5000 (non TLR) in 28mm measures exactly 28mm on the rim. Spot on

Meaning that from an aero point of view it will be too wide for the rim. The 25mm in front will be better from drag and side wind stability.KalleWirsch wrote:I´ve received my Hyper 2023 R45 in the meanwhile.

Surprised your gp5k 28 measures 28 on this rim when my 25 measures 27.5+ on a 19c hyper 50 rim…
How're people finding theirs in wind?
It's taking me some getting used to I must admit, the extra 5mm over my old Metron 40's is stark (or perhaps its the differing rim shape?). I'm still sticking to my first ride thoughts, these are noticibly more twitchy than I'm used to. Was unnerving going down a decent feeling the front wheel being buffeted around yesterday
Not a light rider either, 83kg.

Same with me. My 50mm hypers felt very scary, even with the slightest wind. They felt just as bad as my 10 year old V shaped reynolds wheelsCorfate wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 8:17 amHow're people finding theirs in wind?

Same question, what is you tire width? I used 25, gp 5k that measured 27.5mm and wheels were affected by side wind. Mounting cup tires that measured 25mm (cup23) totally changed the behaviour under side wind.MC356 wrote:Same with me. My 50mm hypers felt very scary, even with the slightest wind. Not sure how big they inflate to as i don't have the measury thingies (unless theres another way to check) but I'm using 23mm GP4000s.C36 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:42 amSame question, what is you tire width? I'll be moving to GP5000s in the near future though as these are nearly done and also someone else said that they come up slightly smaller than the GP4000s and It's a little too tight for my liking on my evo
I had 25mm Schwable pro ones. I never measured the accualy width, but Ive run other wheelset with multiple tires brands and they all felt the same in crosswinds.C36 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:42 amSame question, what is you tire width? 23mm gp4k on a 17c wheel was around 25mm, then on a 19c rim like the 50mm hyper they should be around 26mm (new) and 26.5-26.7 once well used.Corfate wrote:Not sure how big they inflate to as i don't have the measury thingies (unless theres another way to check) but I'm using 23mm GP4000s.C36 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:42 amSame question, what is you tire width? Using 23mm cups that inflate to 25.2 (now after 1000km) the c-wind behaviour is way better than with tires that inflate to 27 (testing riding along Leman lake on a windy day.

BRR measured them at 27mm on a 18c rim so 27.5+ on 19c. That’s a case similar to what I had with “gp5000 25mm”, quite sensible to x-winds.MC356 wrote:I had 25mm Schwable pro ones. A mechanic said the bearings were actually very rough and replaced them. So no real damange to see, but they were this way out of the box.
I have not ridden them since the new ones went in as I bought an Aethos, oops
