Ryanw, apologies if you have answered this question earlier in the thread - couldn't find the answer...
Since Veloflex are not on the approved list for Zipp hookless and Veloflex themselves advise against hookless use, did you have any problems mounting and using the tires on Zipp?
I love the tires and considering buying 404FC, so just want to know any experiences from compatibility and usability point of view.
Thank you in advance!

Well I have them ( Cognition V2 ) on both my 303's and 454's and I am quite happy with them. Freehub sound is almost silent, coasting is good and bearings are smooth.... really smooth. I can only compare them with my 202's and 404's with the 77/177 hubs.

They work together amazingly well. Bead locks to rim just fine and when fully deflated, they stay seated.

Perfect, appreciate your help! Almost decided on the wheelset, just struggling to find availability... 303 FC vs 404 FC XDR, can't make up my mind
303 FC I can get for like 1450€, 404 FC for about 1700€...
I don't do gravel and I don't care about the crosswind as I am on a heavier side.
The only concern is on the rare occasions when I go on cycling holiday in the Alps, would 404FC behave in the fast descends and not get too twitchy with sudden wind gusts?
But that is like 2-3 weeks a year. For the rest I live in The Netherlands, so as flat as it gets with a lot of wind, deep sections is the way to go.
Still, if 303FC is noticeable better in descending, I would go for them...

303 vs 404 isn't going to have a noticeable difference descending, so yeah, I'd also go 404.

Bought a set of 353s in April.
The hub lasted 500km before it started to give problems.
You will pedal and then something happens that can be described as a "chain slip". As if the freewheelbody does not engage.

Sent it back to the local importer and after they tested it for a day or two confirmed something was wrong.

That was 2 MONTHS ago. Still waiting for my new rear wheel. :noidea:

The scary thing for me is that no one at Zipp can say "this is what is wrong".......we need to replace THIS. Nobody knows why it does this.

Happens if one of the 3 magnets becomes dislodged. Could have happened in transit by heavy handed folk.
