The picture on https://rovalcomponents.com/products/rapide-c-38 has hooks. Hookless road wheel manufacturers (Cadex, Enve, Zipp) usually make a big deal of their hookless designs, which isn't the case for Rapide C38.
Hi guys.
I own a SL7 Pro with the CL wheels. Although I have them found to be very fast it seems that they arent that stiff. Especcially the front wheel. When I brake on high speeds (>55kmh) the front wheel wobbles a bit and on tight corners the front wheel doesnt feel very stable. I brought them to my LBS for tensioning 2 times already but it barely changed.
Can somebody confirm this?
I have none issues of this kind on my other wheelset which. They have other disc brake rotors though.
What are your experiences?

Anyone here using the Roval Alpinist CL wheels? What do you like/ dislike about them? What tires/tubes/ tubeless are you running?
I am taking delivery of a set with my Aethos Pro comming in shortly.. I am also thinking of running them tubeless with 38mm tires on my Diverge.. if it doesnt workout in that mode, Ill sell them, as they are redundant in my current wheelsets that I own..
TIA

why it's not like they are tubeless compatable .. so should be a bunch of non-tubless tires you can run. If you are looking for an "official" tubeless list.. it does not exist.

I hesitate beetwen two wheels for hilly training rides: roval c38 and a slightly more expensive (after discount) roval alpinist cl. I would like to lose some weight as my tarmac comp is quite heavy over 8kg.
c38 will allow to run me on tubeless, roval alpinist cl don't
c38 will allow to run gp5000 tubed tire that I like the most, roval alpinist don't (hookles)
roval alpinist have better hubs 350vs370, and are more lightweight.
roval have straight-pull spokes, c38 j-bend
I can't decide.

I've read some c38 reviews that were really bad. But really bad. Try to give them both a run. I dont know.zik wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 5:42 pmI hesitate beetwen two wheels for hilly training rides: roval c38 and a slightly more expensive (after discount) roval alpinist cl.
