TBH, they is very little in the difference between most of the wheels at 30kph which is about 5%
When people are paying thousands of dollars for wheels they want to know they are getting that last 5%, Otherwise, you could buy a nice set of $300 wheels.
There is NO way the different between carbon wheels will make you 5% faster. The difference between a shitty set of alloy wheels and carbon is probably closer to 1%
Who are you arguing with? I never said 5% faster. I said that "last 5%" which is totally different.

I have just installed the Hunt Limitless on a Tarmac, but have not yet been able to ride them due to weather, travel, kids and so on. Bought them for a new build...a super evo....but will Test them on the Tarmac before moving components over. I have ridden the CLX50 and thought the were great, but did not like them for descending in windy canyon roads.

I went for the them becasue A. they match my specialized bike and B they have DT hubs.

My only gripe is that the freehub is silent. Whereas the hunts will have a redicloulously loud freehub.
Upgrade the star ratchet on the rear hub to the 54t version. If you like noise, you will be very happy.

I was planning on going up to the 36T first and see what it's like.
They've got a bit louder now they've good a few hundred miles on. Obviously they come with loads of grease in the ratchet

Is that on the 64's? Let me know if it's worth the upgrade?
The hunt's I also have are LOUD.
Nope CL50s.
It won't be for a while now. They are on the summer bike which is now tucked away for winter.

I don't understand the noisy freehub craze! I used to love to sneak up on others unannounced and pass them in the same manner that the Air Force "Thunderbirds"(F-16's)do their silent pass.

They look tasty, what are those Victoria’s measuring up at? I’ve got 28mm on CLX 50s so the comparison would be nice.

The Hunts are meant to be marginally slower than the Enve 5.5 at all yaw angles, but a third of the price!

So, is there a consesnsus about Hunt wheels? Looks interesting on paper, but is it any better in real life? I'm also sceptical ablut 35mm rim width

The Hunt Limitless just had a recall.

„““““““Unfortunately we have had a small number of incidents reported with the new 48 Limitless wheels where the rims have suffered significant damage as a result of impacts on potholes, in one case resulting in a crash causing minor injuries to the rider. Despite the wheels having passed the industry standard stationary impact and cobbled rolling road tests, we have decided as a precaution to recall your wheels and replace the rims with a new updated and strengthened rim design.“““““

Great Service approach, and they send me a new wheel box to Germany so that I can ship the wheels back to them.
