Wheel damage - please help!
Moderator: robbosmans
So I stupidly jammed my 1 month old rear wheel in a gate and caused this damage. I'd estimate the scratch is 1mm deep at the deepest point including the paint layer. Can anyone advise if this looks safe to ride on? Should I consider an epoxy repair or replace the rim under crash warranty discount? Any help's appreciated!

It will probably not delaminte as it's no damage to the brake track.
So in short, looks aside, it works to ride on.
Replace it if you feel sick just looking at it.

I rode on a rim that was starting to buckle at the valve hole for a couple months. The sides of carbon rims are only superficially load bearing.
