26mm tire weight: 260g
28mm tire weight: 314g
Definitely heavier than the Hutchinson 11storms that are coming off the bike for this. The 28mm Hutch was 270g. Didn't really have any serious complaints with the Hutchinsons. So the Spesh Rapidair had better be impressive in grip/feel for me to be happy with the switch.

the weight discrepancy between 26 and 28 is huge. curious how wide the 28mm get mounted on the rim with 21mm internal width.

Not just weird.. It's not the natural colour.. The pro one with tan walls are artificially coloured vulcanised rubber.
Non TL tan/gumwall tires are naturally that colour.

I just mounted a set of 28mm on the CLX 32 wheels with 20.7mm internal width, and one measures 29.96mm and the other one measures 29.93mm at 80 psi.
One weighs 317 grams, and the other weighs 315 grams vs. the advertised weight of 305 grams.
They did go on pretty easily on the wheels by hands.
I'll check the air pressure in the morning to see how well it retains air.
I'll be riding them with 65 psi on the front and 75 psi on the rear.

They plummed up to 30.81 and 30.76mm over night. I squuzed the tires, and it felt just as plummy as last night, so I believe the air retention is excellent.
I took the pressure down to 60/70 and took it out for a quick spin, and it felt very comfy.

About 120 miles into my use of these 26s and loving the ride. In the ~5 days they've been aired up, they've grown to just a hair under 28mm at 75psi on my CLX 50.
Today I got my first puncture on them. On the one hand, they sealed up almost immediately and I probably wouldn't have even noticed were it not for the fact that I was rolling from a stop and heard a brief hiss. In this regard, I'd say this setup absolutely lives up to the claim/hype.
On the other hand, it's a little unfortunate that between these and the Schwalbe, I've had as many punctures in ~3 months as I had the year prior riding tubulars exclusively.
At least they correct themselves relatively quickly?

Just installed a pair of 28s.. On Roval CLX50 disc
Went on easy. Seems to not need any soapy water tricks.
Didn't pop when pumping up (regular track pump).
Holds air pretty well without sealant, Easily got to 90psi.
How much sealant are you guys adding? Recommended 60mls. Only had one bottle so added 30ml each.
Letting it sit overnight at 90psi but already at 31mm.
They are much larger than 28mm turbo cottons..

Faultless.. Just as assured as Turbo Cottons.
Ran them 60/70 front and back.. A bit bouncy at this pressure. Will drop 5 and will be about right.
One visual thing I got used to is the rubber on turbo cottons is the seamless middle as its a rubber strip bonded to the cotton casing .. The Rapidairs join down the middle.
