HB-RE023 in Bora Ultra?

Perphaps this is stupid question, but is it a problem to put HB-RE023 bearings (bearings+retainer) into a Campagnolo Bora Ultra (2015) wheel instead of the original HB-HY123 ceramic bearing?

I'm thinking no problem but you will loose all the benefits of the Cult bearing system. Most likely you'll have to use grease instead of oil. Why not just get the proper bearings?

you can fit HB-RE023 but you have to use grease. I dont know if the lofe of the stainless cups and cones are affected, possibly not but I dont know. The ceramic balls should not wear. a clean a relube with light oil is probably all thats needed. the cones and cups will wear before the balls do.
- Replaced ceramic bearings for steel ones > wheel is still running like bearings are worn out.
- Swapped body for a brand new one > still the same.
- Ordered original set of ceramic bearings 2 days ago. Let's see if that helps.

Yes talk to a pro shop. Hy 022 is normally available I know I can order them but I don't stock them outside of the service kits. You have a rear wheel I presume as the front in 2015 moved to a smaller cup cone and bearing due to the smaller are used.
I have a theory about the damaged cones, but I'm a bit ashamed to come clear 
About two years ago I opened up the hubs for the first time to see how the bearings were doing and to see learn more about the construction of the hub. In the process, I lost 1-2 ceramic balls from the retainer ring. I just couldnt find them anymore, so I used two steel balls I had left from my spare parts container. They came of an old Fulcrum 3 wheel.
The original idea was just to do 1-2 rides with them, order new balls and replace them but for some reason I didn't care / forgot / whatever. I think that's what damaged the cones.

That's what I told Campagnolo technical support again and again and they finally after so many emails said that if I really want to lubricate I could use some light oil but this step was really not necessary....
