Removing decals from FFWD wheels

Long story short - a new framset is on the way and the red and white FFWD logos need to go if I'm going to use the wheels. I've done a search on here and found a few results, but nothing concrete on how to remove the decals.

These are 2018 wheels with decals under clear coat, so I'm looking for a bit of advice on the best approach (scraping or sanding, which grit to use etc). I'm very happy with the wheels (F4R tubulars on 240 hubs) but picked them up new for under 400 Euro and resale value is very low here, so not worried about giving this a go.

i think you'd get a better visual result if you just put a vinyl sticker over the logo
