When to replace Tubular tires (Based on Mileage) ?

Pm thinking the tiny Tufo may need to be on my shopping list. Any recommendations on what model?

Just got this one, replacing Veloflex Extreme. It is tiny, but still 22mm. You can get 125g version, but 19mm only.
From their track tubs Elite family there is also 160g 22mm, don't remember the model also 160g, 19mm with added puncture protection strip, from their road tubs.

Hi, I have in my stash some Tufo track tubs, 110g version IIRC ... not sure they would stand road use, even for a few miles as a spare !

Would you take the chance ?

PS : folded, these tubs take aren't bulkier than a standard road innertube

I was already scratching my head going for 135g version. If I hadn't red that they are pretty durable, guys on Slowtwich posting even 80km long ride on them, I would have gone for 160g 22mm track version. The road one also 160g with anti puncture strip is just too narrow with only 19mm for wide rims.
This 135g 22mm tub is already so small that I even don't want to imagine 19mm.
Yours 110g surely must be very narrow too.

This all well and good but context please. For such a tub to be a useable spare for me would be chancing item if I have punctured a conti gatorskin there is no way a light tufo is being packed as a spare.

Strap the spare under the saddle with toe straps and you have no space problems in your back pocket.

Sure ... 19mm tubs, let me tell you that on 25mm wide tub rims, they look "far too" small

That's why my spare tub is a Veloflex Extreme for now.

I just have a "new" tub as my spare. As in the next one i was planning to fit.

It's not like it's a big deal to carry a 235gram tub that actually works, instead of a <135gram tub that might shit itself on the way home.
