With 28+mm tires you won't run high pressure that would require hooks. So these are intended for gravel, but without the hooks, the rims are easily damaged (only half the diameter at the horn).

The tester "exceeded the ablilites of the product", WTF?? It's a $3k set of of eMTB specific wheels, that can't be ridden on a rough trail without breaking, what level of use are they built for, cruising around the neighborhood?
