The blue "Shamal Mille" blocks supplied with my Fulcrum racing zeros clinchers wore right down and I didnt notice. I went to a shop mid ride and put a set of Swisstop Blacks on there.
The braking seems OK (two rides later) but goes through the pads superfast. When reordering the blue ones it said "ONLY use these blue pads on the Fulcrum racing zeros"
Im due to do a 180km /3500m ride tomorrow. Is there real risk using these black pads or is it just "whats best"? Thanks

No problem. The only thing you want to avoid is using a brake pad that is too hard. That could cause premature wear. If a pad is wearing out faster, that means it is sacrificing itself instead of wearing the rim.
