I bought a set with rd230 hubs last year and I have used them in all conditions, also during harsh winter rides with snow and salt on the road. Probably more than 5000km on them and no problem at all. I only had to clean and regrease the pawls of the freehub once it started creaking. After that little service, all good again. Very happy with them, which is why I bought another set with these hubs for another bike.

Because I already own 1400g Rapide CLXs. Not enough weight saving to justify the DT Swiss wheels.
That's reassuring, have you noticed any corrosion on outside edge of the bearings? How do you find the feel of the 21 spokes on the rear?Maddie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 8:14 amI bought a set with rd230 hubs last year and I have used them in all conditions, also during harsh winter rides with snow and salt on the road. I have the same hubs (but with Ceramic Speed bearings) on Feder 45’s. Wheels have been faultless and no corrosion etc. Done approx 5K on them so far

I ordered a Gravel wheelset FS50/30GH 50mm hooked with DT240EXP hubs, brass nipples, satin finish, 24H/24H on 11/11 with EMS shipping delivered today 12/15 to the US west coast. Weight without valves 1433g. Haven't ridden yet but the build looks great.
Mine shipped November 29th, showed up in Los Angeles December 11th, updated inbound into customs on the 11th. Going on a week still not out of customs. Guessing Christmas has them slammed. Who knows. Everything I have ever had shipped out of California is always a long delay, hate that state.
Was it 10% VAT charge to the US?
Mine are in a van for DHL delivery today. So it looks like 26 days from order date to delivery in Los Angeles.refthimos wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 12:52 amI ordered a pair of the Ultralight Feder wheels (FSD35CM-27T-SUD) on Nov 25. Hookless rims with 35mm depth, 28mm outer width, 22mm inner width. FAR230 hubs with standard bearings and Shimano freehub. Sapim CX-Super spokes. Claimed weight is 1070 grams, and with a no-hole rim bed, will not require tape to set up tubeless with Continental 5000S TR tires. Will post weight and impressions when they arrive.

Front weighs 501.4 grams and rear 597.7 grams for a total of 1099.1 grams, or 29.1 grams over claimed weight. About what I expected.refthimos wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 12:52 amI ordered a pair of the Ultralight Feder wheels (FSD35CM-27T-SUD) on Nov 25. GP 5000S TRs went on easy. Used compressor with Enve Pressure Station to seat tires. Mild concern when first wheel would not seat (no sealant yet) because lots of air leaking from pressure relief holes on side of rim. Went ahead and tried second wheel without sealant and seated perfectly first try. Added sealant to first wheel, and after a few shots with the compressor involving shaking and rotating the wheel, got the leak to seal and tire now seems to be holding air very well. So NBD since I always intended to ride with sealant anyways.
