Just ordered Feder 45's (FSD45CM-28T-SUD) with 240 EXP hubs! Considered getting DT350 and losing 100g weight saving (and gaining $180...) but the low number of cases convinced me that it probably won't happen to me, and if it does I have multiple spare wheelsets anyway.

Looking for tubeless tyre recommendations that'd go well with the 28 mil profile, what's everybody running and what width? I'm not ultra happy with my GP5000TLs, had a sudden sidewall tear once on an almost new (800km) rear tire, but I also like to lean my bike (maybe too much) so I'd like to have good grip. I'm currently still on GP5000TLs (28mm) previously used Hutchinson, they were good but I found them not very durable, none of the pairs (I went through both 25 and 28s) survived 3000kms and started getting frequent punctures. So what tires do everybody run with this new 28mm OD?

Re: DT350s, I assume that there will be a new road version very soon, based on the old non-EXP 240. The MTB ones were announced today or yesterday.

Just ordered some Corsa Controls in 28c for the same rim width as you, will let you know how they measure and feel. As a side note, bloody hell tyres are expensive at the moment in the UK! Finding quality ones under £50 per tyre was a challenge.

Disq, I have the same wheels and have put Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 26mm on them. Happy with them so far, but have only done around 500km.

Hey guys,

I ordered the same wheels last month. Feder 45's (FSD45CM-28T-SUD) with 240 EXP hubs.
Shipped a week ago and can't wait for them. I purchased a set of 5000GP in 25s.

On shipping, does anybody know what this means? I understand if it was just once, but repeating???

Got an email from Tom, that my wheels have been built, and they are ready for shipping.

And Now I see spoke holes in the rim, I tought all 35 or deeper feder rims were TL Ready without holes in the rim, as they do not have this as an option in the web shop. On web shop it`s only marked "Tubeless ready, no holes in the rim bed (Except 25mm deep)"
Seems it`s my fault, as I did not notice this when ordering. They said it`s better for the spokes service and lighter, but I would have still prefered them without holes.
I had a problem with this on MTB once, when a spoke broke, and tension shot the spoke thru rim tape. Only thing that saves in case like this is a spare tube.
I guess in need to order some rim tape now.

So when you order via email, then check twice if they made the offer with spoke holes in the rim bed or not. My PI offer was marked with "With outer hole"
I guess it`s easier and faster for them to build.

Is Farsports up to speed on what’s going on with all the DT Swiss EXP hub engagement issues? I got a set of Feder 180s and I’m nervously watching/waiting, following the thread amd hoping it doesn’t happen.

If you clean up and apply some grease, it will work normally.

Hey all,

Quick update on my wheels. They were delivered on 22 April. Wheels are AMAZING.
I ordered Feder 45's (FSD45CM-28T-SUD) with 240 EXP hubs. Put on a pair of Conti GP5000s 25c with tubes.
Rode the Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride on Sat. 145kms. The wheels are super fast. LOVE THEM.
I would like to thank Tom for assisting me throught the whole process. Very patient whilst I selected the wheelsets. Great customer service and price.
Would recommed anytime.

Weight: Farsports suggested 1330g +-30
Front 621g Rear 717g = 1338g
