I got new Zipp 303 Firecrest 2019 clincher wheels but they don't fit my 5800 calipers. :?
The width of the 303 is 26.4mm. Not sure what models of caliper can fit the wheels with enough clearence. Can R9100/Sram Red do the job?

Thanks

7000/8000/9000 should clear, they're rated for 28mm per Shimano. My r8000s are right at 30mm pad to pad opened all the way.

Something weird.
When i used 5800, it easily clear 28mm rim width.
Are you sure you allow the caliper to expand all the way out?

Try undo brake cable, and it should expand out all the way to fit even 30mm rim.
Then install wheel, squeze brake a bit by hand to your desired clearance then clamp the brake cable in place.

Try low profile brake pads like SwissStop Flash EVO. If you still need a tiny bit more clearance, EE Cycleworks brakeshoes are a mil or so shorter than the standard Shimano ones.

You shouldn't have a problem with 5800. Please post a photo of your setup so we can see what's going on.

Thanks guys!

I'll try to adjust and reclmap the cable to see if it can make more room. Will report back once I have time to do it.

Cheers!

Cable re-clamped. Managed to get enough clearence, though only about 1 cm remains at the end. Should be all good I guess. Will do a test ride when weather permits.

1 cm where? The cable end? That's fine. You wont need more than that.
