I just bought some Campagnolo Shamal Ultra DB wheels for a new Potenza gravel build, faffed about with getting the tubeless tyres on and seated, mounted the rotors, went to fit the cassette... I’ve been sent a Shimano wheelset, haven’t I.

While I wait for the vendor to get back with a solution, I was wondering if anyone knew about the freehub body specs for Campag DB hubs. Are they the same item as their rim brake wheels, or have they been changed for wider axles? I can’t seem to find any DB specific part online in case I have to source and swap the freehub myself.

I don't think there is a DB-specific freehub body. To be sure, check the tech manual at Campagnolo's webpage.

Great shout, never knew that much detail was on their website. As far as I can tell it’s the same for both, same item code fh-buu015 is on the breakdown for both rim & DB hubs. Thanks for that!

For shamal it will be fh-BO015 alloy freehub.

The steel one is heavier but otherwise the same.

Campagnolo have spare parts docs going back to 1994 on there website.

That’s odd, the page I got from Campys website says FH-BUU015

PBK has the best price. I searched extensively when I bought mine to switch from Shimano to Campag. Very simple swap.
