Hello,

A quick tip-off for anybody looking at Roval CLX wheelsets. I picked some CLX 50 discs up today and it's immediately obvious that they've modified them compared to my (older) rim-brake CLX 50s.

The wheels are no longer supplied with the ineffective spoke-hole plugs but are instead supplied with rim-tape and tubeless valve preinstalled. I've never mounted tubeless tyres easier than I have with these wheels. Hutchinson Performance 11 Storm 25s went on and off without levers and inflated first time with a track pump.

Impressed with the weight too - spot on to the quoted figures, but WITH valve and rim-tape:

Front 642g
Rear 771g

Supplied instructions are out of date though and still reference the plugs.

How wide are those 25s on the Rovals?

Factory installed tape is awesome. Installing tubeless tape is not fun.

Sorry, had the non-discs for a couple of years and they came with the spoke-hole plugs and no rim-tape. Assumed this was a new feature (which it is, perhaps not as new as I thought though).

25s measure up to approximately 28mm on these wheels.

Aren’t these tires great for that reason? No reason to carry levers in your emergency kit anymore (except if you want to be prepared to help your friend or a stranger.)

They won't be able to tell me, but they will be able to sell me whatever compatible with that they have in stock...

Looking at the freehub availability, it appears to have many different type, like steel body, aluminium body and perhaps different bearing type, there is a superlight model too... Too many variances
