Just received a brand new set of 2019 Zipp 303 firecrest wheels. After unboxing them I noticed a very small chip on the showstopper braking surface at the top of the brake track.

Should this even happen?? I’m hoping it won’t get worse.. I was wondering weather to flag it with the retailer or zipp before I ride them so there is no questions over warranty (should it need it) in the future.

Maybe I’m being picky but at this price level I expected better.

Standard. Both my 404s have it.

I’ll add mention of “chips” on the bead lock / bead shelf of my 202 NSWs. Not just one, but many. I didn’t know they were there until I removed the factory installed rim tape. Anyone else have these?

That's what I would be thinking also. At those types of price points, I think cosmetics would be part of what I'm paying for. Well hopefully it is just cosmetics and the wheels work out just fine.
