I don't think that a lot of car tyre compressors can provide enough flow.
My go-to is an AirShot with the valve core on the wheel removed when things are really difficult.
If you don't want to invest there are lots of instructions on the internet for making AirShots with soda bottles (at your own risk....)
If the tyre is loose you can try another couple of wraps of rim tape.

Great thread - the tips and suggestions here helped me get set up on third attempt - fingers crossed.
Was leaking air on a few spots along rim on first few tries ( with Challenge Strada Pro HTLR's - 25mm on front 27 on back) with ROVAL CLX 50's

I'm using MucOff Rim Tubeless Rim Tape and tubeless valves
Have these on my gravel bike's tubeless set up and find them great

Anyway, got 'em mounted and holding air after :
* Using thick undiluted dish liquid (i.e. Fairy Liquid ) along the rim beds / tyre beads
Applied it with a tissue running around the rim both sides

Gave it a blast then with Joe Blow pump and they both held the air nicely.

There might be a tiny slow leak still, but I'll apply sealant next and that should hopefullly sort that.

cheers,
John
