I'm looking to add a set of carbon clinchers to my BMC GF01 and I am in a bit of a pickle decideing between some local wheelset that are the same price. Both are similar depth and similar weight. I like the 45mm depth and the DT Swiss 350 hubs of the "zipps" but I also like the mavic brand, durability and potential resale of the mavic.
Which would you choose and why.
Mavic:
40mm Depth
1545g claimed
Mavic Hubs

Performance Wheelhouse 45:
45mm Depth
1575g claimed
DT Swiss 350 hubs

Thanks!

I just ordered the Mavic Cosmic Carbon SL UST tubeless wheels through Starbike for $1500. My decision came down to have a mid level aero carbon wheel that was high quality and tubeless. I have owned Zipp in the past with my first being the 2016 303's with 77/177 hubs and more recently, the 404 NSW. Both wheels were of high quality but not the best value.

I would get the Mavics. In my wind tunnel testing the Zipps were slightly faster but IMO Zipp hubs are rubbish.

Thanks for posting the graphs. I have heard that as well about Zipp hubs but these specific wheels have DT Swiss 350 hubs.hambini wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 10:40 pmI would get the Mavics. In my wind tunnel testing the Zipps were slightly faster but IMO Zipp hubs are rubbish.
